A Special Author Breakfast Event You Won’t Want to Miss!

Join us Sunday morning, September 23rd from 9:00 am – 11:45 am for some living history as we explore the past and present of the beautiful Colorado Chautauqua and majestic Flatiron mountain range. Come spend an intimate morning of lively discussion with breathtaking views during this exclusive VIP breakfast, with distinguished JLF Boulder authors.

During this 3 hour event, our small group will take a stroll through this uniquely quaint and unspoiled Chautauqua cottage community, getting a glimpse into the past while learning about the vibrant culturally diverse programming still enjoyed by Boulderites today. You’ll enjoy the amazing views and iconic scenery of the Flatirons on a short and easy trail walk. We’ll learn some history, and capture incredible photos you’ll be sure to treasure for years to come.

Following a quick stop at the Ranger Station to take in some eye-opening exhibits, (time permitting) we’ll settle in at the historic and lovingly restored Chautauqua Dining Hall for a very special VIP breakfast with two esteemed authors.

Author Broughton “Brot” Coburn  – Learn more about Brot here.
Broughton “Brot” Coburn is a Visiting Assistant Professor for Colorado College. He has worked on conservation, development, and film projects in Nepal, Tibet, and India for more than two decades. He has written or edited eight books, including two national bestsellers.

Author Dorje Dolma – Learn about Dorje here.
Dorje Dolma’s birthplace—Dolpo, Nepal—had no running water, electricity, cars, schools, or doctors. At the age of ten, Dolma and
her parents walked for a month to save her life. Dolma has a Fine Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a
teacher, an artist, and the author of Yak Girl: Growing Up in the Remote Dolpo Region of Nepal.

During this small-group breakfast, you’ll have an opportunity to ask the authors specific questions and engage in discussions.
This exclusive and intimate event is limited to 20 people and will sell out quickly. So if this is your kind of special event, register now!
